T is for Therapy

This is going to be a short entry. For the longest time, society has deemed mental health issues to be less important than physical, or even spiritual issues.

When one is sick, one goes to a physician. When you are spiritually hurting, you pray, or go to your member of the clergy. But when one is clinically depressed, or suffering from any mental illness…or needs to talk about things…there is nothing?

That isn’t right. Society has far too long placed a stigma on mental health issues to the point where people are unwilling or unable to get someone to assist them.

I’ve ignored that stigma and have decided to place as much emphasis on my mental health as my physical health. Talking things out, and getting to the root of things can only lead to a better, healthier me.

So wish me luck! Anyone wish to comment about their experiences, FEEL FREE.
