How I would love you…

So, the continuation…lots of things I want in a partner explained in the previous post, but don’t get me wrong: I realize that things are give and take. I would be remiss if I didn’t mention what I’d give my special someone.

I would be a rock for you. You would have my undying support and loyalty. I don’t make friends easily, and don’t fall into relationships easily. I like to think long and hard before I commit. But when I do, and when we’re in a committed relationship, I will have your back. Always.

I will be there to hold and comfort you, to tell you things are going to be alright. I’ll there to help you, and if you just want a strong shoulder to cry on or to lean on, I’ll be there. I will be your advocate. I will never belittle your ideas or make you feel stupid. You will have my respect and adoration.

I will romance you. I love poetry, singing, writing stories, and I promise that you’ll be the recipient of these things to show how much I love and care for you. You will get flowers and “just because gifts.” You will hear me say, “I love you.” My words and actions will show daily the depth of my feelings in large and small ways.

I will NEVER, EVER, CHEAT ON YOU. I will enough respect for our relationship not to tomcat or cheat around. I will never want or demand a relationship where I will share you with anyone. I will want you all for myself. I want to spend my years getting old with you, laughing with you, caring for you, crying with you, singing and cooking with you. And only you.

I will love you passionately and often. And I do mean OFTEN. You will be the sexiest person in the world to me, and you will know it with every smouldering look, every kiss, every caress, and every hug.

I will respect you enough to give you space…I know that I can be a lot to handle, and if you need alone time to decompress and ponder things on your own, I will do that for you. Silence is not the enemy as long as you know that I love you.

Lastly, I will be proud of you. Proud of who you are, and who you want to be. I will be proud to grow with you. And I will eternally proud and lucky…
